How we work together

Accessible representation

Council works best when it acts as a bridge, not a barrier. I commit to being an active, visible partner in our neighbourhoods year-round, not just during election season. Our office will focus on open communication, regular ward updates, and working hand-in-hand with city staff to ensure your neighbourhood's questions get clear, timely, and plain-spoken answers.

community-informed spending

Pickering has incredible city staff who manage our infrastructure, but nobody knows a block’s immediate daily needs quite like the families who live there. I commit to advocating for localised, resident-led asset funds for Ward 1. This model pairs professional city expertise with real resident insight, allowing neighbours to collaborate directly on prioritising local park upgrades and community space improvements.

collaborative growth & planning

Pickering is growing, and managing that growth requires everyone sitting at the same side of the table. I commit to bridging the gap between residents, city planners, and builders before blueprints are locked in. By championing pre-application neighbourhood workshops, we can ensure immediate neighbours have a constructive, early voice in shaping developments so they genuinely lift our communities up.

Supporting local

The heartbeat of Ward 1 is found in our volunteer networks, community associations, local sports leagues, and arts groups. Instead of making broad, unachievable political promises, my commitment is concrete: I will use our council office to help local grassroots groups navigate city processes, unlock community grants, and easily access public spaces so they can keep doing what they do best.
